rotork-logoRotork, a FTSE 250 plc, is a highly successful international engineering group with an enviable track record of growth and profitability. It is the world leader in design, manufacture and support of valve actuators, control systems and related accessories. Aggressive expansion, innovative products, an open and customer focussed culture ensure Rotork maintains market position. Growth has led to the recent appointment of Head of Risk & Internal Audit (HoRIA) and the opportunity for an ACA/CIA to join in a newly created, high profile role at a dynamic point of the Group’s development.

If you perceive the real opportunities within and beyond Risk & Audit, this post will prove interesting, varied and very rewarding. Working closely with the HoRIA you will contribute significantly to developing and designing improvements to Risk Management & Internal Audit; and to the Group’s success. While Risk Management and Compliance are important, equally pivotal to Rotork is the operational/commercial thrust of Internal Audit. Major stakeholders include the CEO and Board; Non Executives; Audit Committee; and Senior Managers and the responsibilities, though by no means exhaustive, involve:-

• Developing innovative strategies, methodologies and planning of Internal Audit allied to Group Risks
• Establishing, developing and administering an effective Risk Management framework across
the Group
• Developing a comprehensive, global overview of Rotork
• Identifying potential vulnerabilities, making and implementing recommendations
• Ensuring balance between robust controls and flow of business critical information
• Continually fostering positive relationships across the Group
• Providing assurance over Operational, Financial and Compliance risks, and effectiveness
of internal controls
• Promoting the benefits of good governance
• Developing the scope of the role
• Global travel up to 40%

Technically strong and pragmatic, you will be a graduate qualified ACA from a UK Top 20 Practice or CIA. Possessing the relevant post qualification experience, your CV should demonstrate tangible deliverables. Confidence, team ethos, flexibility, sense of humour, drive, robustness, cultural sensitivity, a natural modesty, and curiosity are qualities highly prized by Rotork. Advanced Excel, strong presentation and communication skills are essential to the role. There is a strong history of career development and the post holder’s prospects include succeeding the HoRIA, or line management.
