This is Rotork’s entry point for potential future finance managers within the group and is part of a longer term succession planning strategy. There is a substantiated history of career development as far as Directorship from such group positions. Based at Head Office, you will work closely in supporting the Group Treasurer, Group Financial Controller and Group Finance Director. Consequently the role will be varied incorporating both mainstream and treasury accounting with the opportunity for overseas travel and the scope to make an impact in these areas. Overall responsibilities will include tasks relating to Group cash & debt; cashflow forecasting and variance analysis; foreign exchange, dividend payments, monthly accounting, statutory accounting and systems implementation. The role will also involve communicating with subsidiary companies globally, taking responsibility for aspects of monthly reporting, collating data for and providing analysis, and preparing reports. Though the role has core responsibilities, accountants working in Head Office are seen as a group wide resource and are often called on to assist with ad hoc projects including analysis, systems development, acquisitions, integrations, or assisting in commercial areas.


Applicants should be either studying toward or recently qualified ACMA/ACCA/ACA, are familiar with working in a commercial environment and can demonstrate career development to date. You will possess both confidence and technical excellence coupled with the drive and determination to succeed. You will also have good communication and presentation skills in addition to a strong team ethos, the ability to exercise initiative and to work flexibly. Excel experience must be at intermediate to advanced levels accompanied by strong analytical skills.
