Interim Finance Manager 6 months

This growing SME comprises of a number of small businesses in the IT and Communications sector. Due to growth the Financial Controller is wholly engaged in a number of finance associated projects. Therefore an urgent need has arisen for an interim Finance Manager to support the day to day running of the Finance Department and to assist the Financial Controller with aspects of various projects.


Working closely with the Financial Controller and CEO, overall responsibilities will include overseeing and developing a small finance team, ensuring sound controls and treasury management. Specific duties involve:-  assisting with yearend budgets, audit and yearend reporting; ensuring accuracy and timely production of monthly management accounts; making recommendations for improvements in accounting processes ; overseeing credit control and ensuring any issues are picked up early and managed effectively; managing company cash flow, producing short and long-term forecast and daily reporting; overseeing the payroll; assisting with the implementation of Sage 200; ad hoc analysis; and KPI reporting.


You must be a UK qualified ACA, ACCA, ACMA who has held a similar position previously and is used to a “hands on” environment. You should have strong Excel skills, be adept at leading, developing and motivating a small team, and confident in dealing with individuals at all levels. Self-motivated and able to prioritise in a dynamic environment, you will also need to be flexible and collaborative in your approach to work.
