Long term growth has meant increased demand on group finance, leading to this newly created wide and varied role for a Group Tax Manager to bring tax “in house”.

 

Working with a strong charismatic team, you will support the Group Financial Director and Group Financial Controller in both group tax planning and compliance. In addition you will also support other stakeholders including Divisional Finance Directors, Controllers and site finance at global locations. Specific duties will involve:- Identifying and delivering tax planning opportunities globally; managing UK corporation tax and UK compliance timetable; completing R&D / Patent box  claims including liaison with HMRC; understanding tax affairs of key worldwide businesses; assisting with preparation of year end deferred tax and corporation tax workpapers; assisting with understanding of Group effective tax rate; managing annual recharge process to comply with transfer pricing requirements; keeping the Group transfer pricing documents updated; and providing tax support and assistance to overseas subsidiaries. You will also be assisting with various ad hoc projects for the Group Finance Director and Controller to support development of the group. These may include:- UK indirect tax; due diligence and post-acquisition integration; preparing regulatory returns; supporting strategic projects. It is envisaged that with Rotork’s continued trajectory of growth that the scope of responsibilities will grow and therefore you will be expected to help shape the role going forward.

 

You should be an “upper quartile”, graduate, qualified accountant who also holds the ATT or CTA and can demonstrate both successful corporate tax planning and compliance. Your tax accounting skills will have been developed either at Senior Manager grade within a top 10 firm; or in a multinational, multicurrency environment operating under IFRS. This role requires a strong team player who is highly motivated and possesses a good sense of humour. The ability to communicate comfortably and effectively at all levels and with different nationalities together with a willingness to go the extra mile, flexibility in your approach to work, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and sound technical skills are all essential to this role.  This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to Rotork plc.
