This highly successful international specialist manufacturing group offers the widest product range in its field within leading edge technology sector in the world. It operates manufacturing facilities both in the UK and abroad and has sales offices located in major economic centres worldwide. As a result of enviable growth an exciting opportunity has arisen within the UK finance team for a capable, driven and career oriented recently qualified ACA, ACCA, ACMA.


Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and leading a small team, this role forms part of the UK senior management team and has significant interaction the Group executive management team. You will be responsible for two UK manufacturing sites and the ledgers of 4 legal entities. Overall duties will include:- Strategic, financial and administration support; assisting with the growth of the business, formulating strategies and plans and setting and reporting performance against KPIs; taking ownership of financial transactions, working capital management and cash management; management accounting and associated analyses to inform decision making; systems administration, continually improving processes and controls; ensuring that company financial systems are robust, to ensure compliance and support future growth; establishing a high level of credibility and strong working relations stakeholders including suppliers and advisors; and ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.


You will be a qualified accountant who is driven and wanting to make their mark in their first or second Financial Controller role. You may already be in industry or in the profession and looking to make a good first move, in either case you should be a strong team player who is capable of working independently on occasion. Though advantageous, manufacturing experience is not essential. More desirable are:- commercial awareness; strong analytical, communication and Excel skills; an ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and plan forward.
