Working closely with the FC and CFO and supported by an assistant you will be responsible for the project management accounts preparation, cost plans and interrogation along with budgeting and forecasting for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) and the Independent Connection Provider (ICP) construction projects. You will assist with overseeing the finance function and providing financial support to internal and external stakeholders. Duties will include:

• Monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Development of budgets and forecasts and business partnering
• Review and update project cash flows including VAT implications
• Continual updates of project forecasts liaising with Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors
• Reconcile Work In Progress, stock and project accruals
• Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
• Ad hoc projects


Ideally you will be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA with relevant accounting experience looking to make your next upward career move. If you are qualified by experience you must demonstrate experience and skills required for the role. Possessing commercial and operational acumen, a good knowledge of Sage and intermediate to advanced Excel skills; you will be team oriented, highly motivated, flexible in your approach, articulate, and possess a good sense of humour. Initiative and effective communicate with non finance staff is essential as is pride in delivering high standards.
