Channel Business Partner
to £55,000 + Car All + Bonus + Generous Benefits
Swindon CCR 1212

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially oriented high flyer to join a dynamic, innovative and rapidly expanding £250 million financial services business that is aiming for an IPO. This newly created role, which combined with an innovative approach and rate of growth, will be varied, interesting, challenging and very rewarding. It is expected that the successful individual will make significant contributions to the development of the group.

Stakeholders will include Main Board Directors, Sales Teams and Financial Controls. Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering, your overall responsibilities will involve supporting the Executive team with ad hoc analysis where relevant and being a trusted resource for channel head / company Directors. You will also work closely with the Financial Control team on reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Specific duties will include:
• Advanced analysis of channel performance – vs. budget / YOY, R13W, R12M
• Creation of channel “P&Ls” to reflect contribution
• Early warning of emerging trends
• Benchmarking performance against external market data
• Preparation of reporting packs with key metrics
• Development of business cases for new initiatives including discounted cashflow, NPV calculations, IRR among many.
• Tracking of benefits
• Detailed analysis of costs, allocation and apportionment both direct and indirect to channel/product
• Analysis of AR (Appointed Representative) firms to determine high / low performers compared against cost / resource
• Mentoring and developing a team

You should be a commercially astute, team oriented and ambitious graduate ACA, ACCA, or ACMA with the determination to succeed. Though financial services experience is desirable rather than essential; commercial acumen, a robust and diplomatic personality, and the ability to influence decision makers are much more preferable attributes. Equally preferable is an understanding of the importance of compliance with regulatory requirements – IFRS, FCA and Internal Audit. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Your CV should clearly demonstrate decisions and impacts that you have influenced.
