Rotork, a FTSE 250 plc, is a highly successful international engineering company with an enviable track record of growth and profitability. It is a world leader in design, manufacture and support of valve actuators, control systems and related accessories. Aggressive overseas expansion coupled with the development and launch of technically advanced products ensure Rotork maintains its market position. Their culture is defined by a highly ethical, people centred, customer focused and commercially robust approach to business coupled with an emphasis on excellence. Long term growth has meant increased demand on Group Finance, leading to this newly created role for an Assistant Tax Manager.

This is a wide ranging and interesting position that will evolve as Rotork doesn’t limit accountants to closely defined roles but sees them as a Group wide resource. Working closely with the Group Tax Manager and other members of central finance, including the Group Finance Director and Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for: bringing in house the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax computations including R&D and Patent Box claims, and capital allowance projects; assisting with year end consolidated tax figures, ad hoc M&A/restructuring tax issues, and preparation for the group’s entry into the Senior Accounting Officer regime; maintaining transfer pricing documentation; ensuring worldwide withholding tax compliance; and assisting with changes associated with BEPS.

You should be a qualified accountant or hold the ATT qualification and can demonstrate experience  of  International and UK corporate tax, IFRS and compliance. Your tax accounting skills will have been developed within a top 10 firm or in a multinational, multicurrency environment. This role requires a team player who is highly motivated and possesses the ability to communicate comfortably and effectively at all levels and with different nationalities. A willingness to go the extra mile, flexibility in your approach to work, maintain good humour under pressure and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are also prerequisites. This is an excellent opportunity to help make a difference to Rotork plc and to develop your skill set.
